SEBASTIAN NOTHHAFT

Sebastian was born in Hong Kong and began playing tennis at age five. After his family moved to Shanghai, he started competing seriously and spent summers on the U14 Tennis Europe Tour. He later relocated to Germany to train full-time and compete on the ITF Juniors Circuit, achieving a career-high world ranking of No. 72.
Recognized by NCAA coaches and his national team, Sebastian represented Hong Kong in the 2021 All China Games and was a member of the 2022 Davis Cup team. He earned a scholarship to a Top 10 NCAA Division I program, reaching ITA rankings of No. 88 in singles and No. 11 in doubles while earning a degree in Political Science. He completed his college career at Loyola Marymount University, serving as team captain and earning a Master’s in Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Innovation.
As a coach, Sebastian has worked with players of all levels—from beginners to ATP and WTA professionals. He served as assistant coach and sparring partner for Germany’s top U12 player, Justin Engel—now ranked No. 208 ATP—and was a sparring partner at his local WTA 250 event. Over the past three years, he has also taught privately and led high-performance camps in both the U.S. and Germany.
