ALEJANDRO PEREZ
ACADEMY TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Alejandro Perez was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. From a young age he fell in love with sports, specifically tennis. He began his training career at the prestigious Colsanitas Tennis Academy in Bogota and by 12 he started competing in national tournaments; rising to the top 30 nationally ranked in the 14U category. As Alejandro’s junior career accelerated, so did his ranking. Rising to the top 16 nationally in the 16U and 18U categories in Columbia.

When he completed high school, he was recruited by several NCAA tennis coaches and ultimately decided to attend Post University, Division II, in Waterbury, Connecticut on a full NCAA scholarship. During his 2014 season, Alejandro was named conference MVP and contributed to his team’s first qualifications to the conference regional finals. After graduating and receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Alejandro began to compete professionally.

By 2016, Alejandro was training at the Valgi Tennis Academy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began competing in the ITF professional tour in Latin America, North America, Europe and Africa. He’s currently ranked among the top 40 professional players in Columbia and ranked #2800 in the world. Alejandro’s high pedigree compliments his experience in coaching recreational, amateur and high performance players. He believes in sacrifice over talent. With sacrifice, he can make a player out of any student he coaches. Alejandro will continue competing in ITF tournaments and will share his knowledge and experiences onto our TIA players. We are thrilled to have this talented player and coach join our team!
