FERRAN CALVO
SENIOR TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
Ferran Calvo, hailing originally from Valencia, Spain, possesses a rich cultural background, with an Ecuadorian Guinean mother and a Valencian father. His love affair with tennis began at the tender age of 5, igniting a passion that would shape his life profoundly. His sporting journey is not merely marked by his achievements on the court but also by the invaluable values instilled in him through the sport.
During his youth, Ferran represented Spain with distinction, ascending to #41 in the ITF Junior rankings. His pursuit of excellence led him across the globe to the United States, where he showcased his talent at Tyler Junior College, dominating both singles and doubles as the number 1 player.
Due to his continued development, Ferran was recruited by the University of Oklahoma, competing in the prestigious NCAA D1 division, reaching #16 in the NCAA National rankings. While at Oklahoma Ferran also earned recognition with the University of Oklahoma’s “Perseverance Award”.
Upon returning to Valencia, Ferran seamlessly integrated his passion for tennis with coaching and sparring roles at various academies, including PowerPlay Tennis. Concurrently, he pursued his academic aspirations, culminating in the attainment of a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
Ferran looks to bring his experience and love for the sport to the TIA community.
