MATILDE MORETTI
PRO TIER: ACADEMY
Matilde was born in Salerno, Italy, and picked up a tennis racket for the first time at age 4, inspired by her older brother. From that moment, tennis became a central part of her life. She began training in Salerno and competed there until age 13, when she moved to the prestigious Tennis Training Academy—widely recognized as one of the top academies in Italy. Over the next five years, she honed her skills and competed in international junior tournaments across Europe.
In 2022, Matilde moved to the United States on a full athletic scholarship to play college tennis at Catawba College. She competed at a high level throughout her collegiate career while pursuing a degree in Business Administration, graduating in May 2025.
Her coaching journey began in the summer of 2023 at Tennis Innovators Academy, where she worked during her summer break. It was there that she discovered her passion for coaching and quickly connected with the academy’s dynamic environment and strong sense of community. Today, Matilde is dedicated to sharing her experience and love for the game with the next generation of tennis players.
