FRANCISCO OLIVEIRA
PRO TIER: SENIOR, HIGH PERFORMANCE
Francisco Oliveira, born in Porto, Portugal, first excelled in football with FC Porto before discovering tennis at age six, when his parents encouraged him to explore another sport. By age seven, he was competing in tournaments and quickly became hooked on the thrill of competition—a passion that has driven him ever since. During his junior years, he consistently ranked among the top 10 players in Portugal, later reaching No. 2 nationally at the senior level and achieving an ATP doubles ranking of 1412.
His on-court success earned him a scholarship to Ouachita Baptist University, where he played No. 1 singles and doubles, became a two-time All-American, and helped his team achieve a Top 10 national ranking. He later continued his career at the University of West Alabama, where an injury sidelined him for a season. Rather than stepping away, Francisco transitioned to coaching, assisting both the men’s and women’s teams and gaining invaluable experience from the sidelines.=
His coaching journey includes working with top juniors at his home club in Portugal, assisting ATP doubles player Francisco Cabral, and, while based in Boca Raton, sparring with WTA professionals and learning from elite tour coaches.
Holding a B.A. in Business Administration and an MBA in Sports Management, Francisco blends academic expertise with elite playing and coaching experience. At TIA, he brings passion, intensity, and a dynamic presence to every session, building meaningful relationships and helping every player become the best version of themselves—on and off the court.
