Chris, born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, is a high-performance tennis professional with extensive international and collegiate experience.
His tennis journey began on the junior circuit in Lagos, where he achieved a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 338 before moving to the United States to pursue collegiate tennis. In 2018, he began his college career at a JUCO in New Mexico, later transferring to the University of West Alabama and ultimately graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2022. During his collegiate career, Chris recorded notable wins and achieved an NCAA Division I ranking as high as No. 31 nationally.
Chris is a current member of the Nigerian Davis Cup team and holds a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 935. His competitive background is further highlighted by a 13+ UTR and national-level rankings, reflecting his consistency and high-level performance.
Bringing world-class experience to player development, Chris has trained under top directors at Tennis Innovators Academy (TIA) in New York. He combines professional tour insight with hands-on coaching experience across juniors, adults, and competitive athletes. With a strong academic foundation in economics and business, Chris delivers disciplined, modern, and results-driven coaching for players of all ages and levels, and looks forward to contributing to the TIA community.
