Vladislav was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia. He began playing tennis at the age of six and competed in his first tournament at nine in the U10 national division. He went on to compete extensively on the Tennis Europe circuit, playing tournaments throughout Europe. By age 14, Vlad was competing in both the U14 and U16 divisions and, at various points, ranked among the top 300 players in Europe. At 17, he was a top-10 nationally ranked player in Serbia, competing alongside notable players such as Laslo Djere. He also played in multiple Futures tournaments, gaining valuable professional experience.
Following high school, Vlad took a year away from competition. Shortly thereafter, he was recruited by NCAA college coaches and awarded an athletic scholarship to play the No. 1 position for an NCAA Division II program at Colorado State University–Pueblo. After completing his collegiate career, Vlad earned a Master of Science degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Analytics and Information Technology, with a concentration in project management.
Vlad is an experienced teaching professional who has worked with players of all ages and skill levels. Prior to joining Tennis Innovators Academy, he coached juniors and recreational players privately in the United States and worked under former ATP player Jason Derijk at his academy in New Jersey. He has also coached in Serbia at several highly regarded academies, including the Tipsarevic Tennis Academy and other elite tennis clubs.
Vlad looks forward to making a strong, positive impact at Tennis Innovators Academy. He brings a calm, thoughtful coaching style, along with deep technical knowledge, international experience, and an open-minded approach to player development.
