VALEWIS “VAL” SIMPSON

Valewis, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, began playing tennis at the age of six. By 15, he was already competing in his first ATP Challenger event in Blois, France. As a junior, he was recognized as a Five-Star Recruit and ranked among the top 30 players in the United States.

Throughout his career, Valewis trained with elite professionals such as Taylor Townsend and Donald Young, gaining valuable insight into the highest levels of the game. He continued his journey at the University of Memphis, where he competed in collegiate tennis, earned his degree, and further honed both his playing and coaching skills.

In 2023, Valewis worked with Tennis Memphis, playing a key role in expanding junior and adult programs across the city. His coaching style blends technical precision, high-level playing experience, and a genuine passion for the sport.
