PRO TIER: ACADEMY
Stefan was born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Growing up idolizing Novak Djokovic, Stefan picked up a racquet and quickly fell in love with the game. Years later, he had the opportunity to practice alongside his childhood idol—a full-circle moment in his tennis journey.
Stefan quickly rose through the ranks of Canadian junior tennis, becoming a Canadian National Champion and earning a place among the Top 100 juniors in the world. He represented Canada internationally at the Junior Davis Cup and trained extensively at the National Training Centre, competing alongside and against some of the top young talent in Canada and abroad. By the age of 16, Stefan had already earned an ATP ranking before ultimately deciding to pursue the collegiate path.
His success on the junior circuit caught the attention of NCAA coaches, and Stefan earned an athletic scholarship to compete in NCAA Division I tennis at Penn State University. There, he excelled both on and off the court, earning Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in recognition of his commitment to academics while competing at the highest level of collegiate tennis.
Stefan has also brought his competitive experience to the next generation of players, coaching at Niagara Tennis Academy and helping juniors develop the technical skills, competitive mindset, and confidence needed to perform at a high level.
