CHRIS BULUS
TOURING PROFESSIONAL

Christopher Bulus was born in Lagos, Nigeria. He started playing tennis through summer camps at the Lagos lawn tennis club when he was 12 and never gave up on the sport. During his time in Nigeria, he was the number 1 junior player, top 10 nationally ranked player, Career-high of 328 in world ITF ranking, and represented the country at international events like the Junior Davis Cup.

In spring 2018, Chris gained admission into The New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, NM, on a full tennis scholarship. While at NMMI, he received the ITA All-American award twice and graduated with an associate degree in Business Management in fall 2019.

Chris then continued his college career at The University of West Alabama, a D2 school located in Livingston, AL. At West Alabama, he played the number 1 position and was 13-2 in dual matches for the Tigers. These results earned him the conference player of the week twice, the player of the year, the ITA All-American award, and ranked number 4 nationally.

For the perks of his hard work and determination, The DI University of Nevada, Las Vegas, offered him a full scholarship starting the fall of 2021 to finish his Undergraduate degree while also playing a more competitive level of tennis.

As of 10/10/2023 Christopher currently has an impressive 12.90 Universal Tennis Rating. We are excited to have Christopher training at TIA and inspiring our players!
