LUKAS MICHENKA
PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR & DIRECTOR TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Lukas was born in Frydek, Czech Republic. He first picked up a tennis racket when he was 6 years old, and after a couple of years of playing, he fell in love with the sport. While growing up, tennis was his main and only passion. When he turned 14, he started playing at Toptennis Academy in Frydlant, CZ where his hard work and consistency helped his development. Throughout his younger years, he would always be in the top 20 in his age group and top 40 in the nation amongst all the juniors. After graduating high school, he played in future tournaments in Slovakia and the Czech Republic and decided to continue his career in the United States along with his studies. In the United States, he first joined Cowley Junior College and played number 1 in doubles and number 3 in singles. His performances helped his team to reach one of the best school results in history by finishing the season fifth in the Nation.

After two years at Cowley, he then transferred to Ottawa University where he earned numerous awards on and off the court including Newcomer of the year, Champion of character, and All-KCAC first team. Lukas finished the school with the most wins in the history of the school program which earned him a place amongst the best players in the history of the school. He graduated Cum Laude in Marketing with a concentration in Leadership.

After college Lukas continued teaching tennis in Maine for two summers at a camp. With various playing and coaching backgrounds, he decided to start teaching tennis and pass his knowledge and passion for the sport onto the next generation of successful tennis players here in Tennis Innovators Academy.
