Originally from Toronto, Canada, Greg was a nationally ranked junior and a member of the prestigious All-Canadian Tennis Academy which was directed by Canadian Davis Cup Captain, Pierre La Marché. He attended Henderson State University in Arkansas on a full tennis scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Journalism. After graduating college, Greg competed on both the USTA Satellite Circuit and the Alcan Canadian Circuit during the summer and was a member of the National Coaching Staff for Tennis Canada at York University throughout the remainder of the year.

In 1990, he was recruited by the renowned Port Washington Tennis Academy (PWTA) and served as their Senior Coach until 1995. While coaching at the PWTA, he was selected by USTA/Eastern to be a USTA National Travel Coach and Senior High Performance Coach at the USTA National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows, New York. During his time at the USTA National Tennis Center, he also held the position as a NCAA Division 1 Collegiate Coach as the Men’s Head Tennis Coach at St. John’s University from 1999-2003.

From 2003-2020, Greg has developed an illustrious coaching career on the West and East coasts.  He has worked with some of the top USTA National and ITF juniors as well as ATP and WTA players such as, Noah Rubin, Stefan Kozlov and Jamie Loeb.

With a focus on junior development and players aspiring to compete professionally and at the college level, Greg held the very important role of traveling tournament director at the following academies:

• ISA Tennis Academy in San Diego, California: Director of Academy Operations and Senior Coach

• Centercourt Tennis Academy, Chatham New Jersey: Director of High Performance Tennis & Player Development

• John McEnroe Tennis Academy, NYC: High-Performance Academy Co-Director and Director of Tournament Travel & JMTA Home-School Academy

• CourtSense Tennis Center in Bogota, New Jersey: Senior High Performance Coach & Senior Travel Coach

Greg’s distinguished career has made him an expert on implementing a comprehensive, high performance training program for national and international players.  In 2019, Greg was recognized by the USTA as the Head Coach for Team USTA Training Camp in Orlando, Florida.

Greg is excited to join the TIA team and share his vast experience to our students while leading our Tournament Travel Program to support our competing athletes.
