DRISSA ARDJOUMAN
SENIOR TENNIS PROFESSIONAL
Drissa was born and raised in the suburb of Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire. The sport of tennis was a part of life in Drissa’s family and his uncle was the head coach at the local tennis courts as he ran the best programs in the area. Drissa began to show interest in the sport around the age of seven and his uncle began training him. He was a young sensation and over the next few years, he brought home a few national tournament championships. After an illustrious junior career, he was asked to join the Côte d’Ivoire National Federation Team at the age of 18. Drissa went on to represent his country in the Davis Cup competition.
This catapulted Drissa to the world-class level as he gained professional match experience and character strength on the court. He then went on to play ATP Futures events in Africa to test a professional career. During his competitive years, he began to find a true passion in developing and coaching players. He was fortunate to be given the opportunity to coach for the Côte d’Ivoire National Tennis Federation; he began coaching privately as well during this time. Drissa quickly gained fame and notoriety as a high-performance coach in the area.
After six years of coaching in Côte d’Ivoire, Drissa decided to move to the U.S. and take the next step in his coaching career. He joins TIA with the passion and desire to make our players better every day.
