Alexandra Parra was born and raised in Venezuela. She played all types of sports including soccer and softball, and started playing tennis competitively at age 10; and in her first junior tournament, she placed second. At her peak she ranked #2 in Venezuela and was able to win two COSAT Junior Tournaments (Confederation of South American Tennis tournament). Due to the economic turmoil in Venezuela, Alexandra started working as an assistant coach at 16 so that she could continue  playing in junior tournaments. With her experience in coaching she was able to refine and develop her tennis skills as well. This ultimately lead to coaching opportunities in the U.S., teaching at tennis camps and an athletic scholarship playing tennis. Alexandra is a senior at Lindsey Wilson College (LWC) and studying business. She looks forward to sharing her experience and energy with us for the summer!
