STEPHANIE FERNANDEZ

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Stephanie Fernandez began her tennis journey with passion and determination. As a junior, she consistently ranked in the top 10 nationally and proudly represented Venezuela on the international stage for four consecutive years. Her standout performance earned her a career-high ranking of No. 20 in South America according to the COSAT rankings.
Stephanie’s move to the United States marked a pivotal step in both her athletic and academic development. She attended Georgia Gwinnett College, where she majored in Business Management and captained the women’s tennis team her senior year. During her collegiate career, she helped lead her team to three consecutive NAIA National Championships (2022, 2023, 2024). She also achieved a No. 1 national doubles ranking and a top 10 singles ranking. While in college, she gained valuable experience on the pro circuit by competing in multiple PTT $25K tournaments.
Her accolades include being named ITA Senior Player of the Year, earning three ITA NAIA All-American honors, and receiving Academic All-American recognition.
Following her collegiate success, Stephanie transitioned into coaching, bringing her expertise to respected academies across Venezuela, Connecticut, New York, the Hamptons, and Atlanta. She has experience coaching players of all ages and skill levels, with a strong focus on helping athletes reach their highest potential both on and off the court. Stephanie now brings her talents to TIA to help our players develop into athletes.
Stephanie holds certifications in USTA Safe Play, Coach Youth Tennis, and First Aid/CPR.
